The Zvonařka bus station is the main bus station for suburban and intercity transport in the South Moravian Region. It has been operating since 1978, and the roofing and construction of parking spaces on the roof were completed in the next stage in 1988. Around twenty-five thousand passengers pass through the Zvonařka station every day.
Our company, together with architects from CH + K, has completed the project of modernizing the existing bus station. The platform was modified, the stalls of small retailers in the northern part of the station were removed and a new modern check-in hall was built in their place. The bus station was also equipped with new LED lighting, an information system, furniture and new parking spaces for cars and bicycles. The Park&Ride parking spaces on the roof of the building can be reached with a new panoramic lift. The foyer of the railway station to Zvonařka Street will be modified by the city of Brno in the following stage of modernization
We collaborated on the project with the architectural office CHYBIK + KRISTOF ARCHITECTS & URBAN DESIGNERS, which was also the author of the architectural design.
