Renovation of a historic building in the city centre into a five-star hotel of the Barceló chain.
The current hotel building was built in the middle of the 19th century according to the design of the famous Viennese architect Franz Fröhlich. The original design called for a residential building with different types of rooms and a sophisticated staircase system. The palace facade contrasts with the romantic style of the interior.
The hotel on Šilingrova Square was created by reconstructing the dilapidated building of the Municipal Court, which used to house the district court and the municipal museum. This Neo-Renaissance building is now considered a cultural monument, formerly also known as the City Palace.
The five-star Barceló boutique hotel offers a total of 119 luxury rooms, conference rooms, as well as a spa and relaxation areas. From the fifth floor, guests can look out of the attic window straight into the starry sky above Brno.
K4 a.s. prepared the documentation for the construction and the documentation for the change of the construction before completion.
