In 2004, a study was made on the possibility of adding an indoor swimming pool to the primary school, later this idea was extended to building an aqua centre, which was missing in Brno. In 2006, the architectural office K4 a.s. started designing the project. The construction itself started in April 2008 and lasted 2 years. Since the opening ceremony on 14 April 2010, more than 1.25 million visitors have visited the complex. The number of visitors is increasing year by year –from 185,000 in 2010 to 300,000 in 2015.
