Office space and commercial units are designed on the ground floor of four-storey residential buildings, and a total of 86 residential units are designed in the complex. The building is part of the premises of the Institute of Aviation of BUT. The main content of the object is research activities related to the designs of small aircraft. Individual parts are designed, manufactured and then static and fall strain tests are performed on them. The results of these tests shall be evaluated in workshops and laboratories.

Historia de construcción

In 2004, a study was prepared on the possibility of building an indoor swimming pool near the elementary school, a later this idea was extended to the construction of an aquacenter, which was lacking in the city of Brno. In 2006, the architectural office K4 a.s. started designing. The construction itself began in April 2008 and lasted 2 years. Since its opening on April 14, 2010, more than 1.25 million visitors have visited the site. Their number is increasing year by year — from 185 thousand in 2010 to 300 thousand in 2015.

Aquapark in Brno Kohoutovice on Chalabalova Street

New construction of indoor swimming pool in Brno-Kohoutovice with unique load-bearing wooden structure and pool hall cladding. Kohoutovice swimming pool contains a sports pool with a length of 25 m, a swimming pool with attractions, a hot tub, a 90-meter long water slide, a wild river and a sun terrace with a rooftop pool. It also includes a sauna, a massage room and an air-conditioned fitness centre. In the background of the pool hall there are changing rooms with washrooms for visitors, a day bar and a children's corner.

Traumatology Center

Two-storey extension of Pavilion I in the premises of the University Hospital in Brno-Bohunice for placement of spinal unit and trauma center with intensive care unit and follow-up examination and treatment facilities. Construction proceeded without interrupting the pavilion's operation.

K4 a.s. performed the following services on the above-mentioned construction:

- the performance of technical supervision of the investor of the construction and technological part during the implementation of the construction,

- OSH coordinator — supervision of compliance with the principles of occupational safety, occupational health and environmental protection.

The new building of a residential building for visiting professors, doctoral students and international students is located in the wider center of Brno. The building with 10 above-ground and 1 underground floor contains 68 residential units and 82 parking spaces on the two lower floors and another 9 on the ground. Services include a 24-hour reception and a rooftop garden at 2. NP.

The company K4 a.s. worked as the general designer on the Pod Hády district project since 2019.

Initially, they focused on the optimization of a study for the 1st phase of construction, followed by subsequent stages of project documentation (DSP and OPS) for this phase. Additionally, in the years 2021 and 2022, they also prepared the EIA for further phases of this extensive project (phases 2 and 3).

The collaboration with K4 proceeded essentially without issues, despite relatively extensive changes in the assignment during its course. The project documentation was processed properly and in accordance with the signed contract. We particularly appreciate the good coordination of the various stages of such a comprehensive project in our collaboration with K4.

The company K4 a.s. served as the general designer on the PONAVA CITY project since 2016.

Initially, they worked on a study in collaboration with the project architects, followed by subsequent stages of project documentation (EIA, DSP, DVZ, and OPS). Simultaneously, they also provided author's supervision during the construction.

Collaboration with K4 proceeded without major issues, despite relatively extensive changes in the assignment during its course.
